Codex Research is operated by Codex Research LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of New Jersey (Entity ID 0451462673), located in Manalapan, NJ 07726, United States. We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at info@codexresearch.shop. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to codexresearch.shop and to any order placed through it.

When you create an account, place an order, join a membership, apply to the affiliate programme or contact us, you provide information directly. That typically includes your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, account login details, your order and membership history, and the content of any message you send us. You also confirm your age when you enter the site. We collect only what we need to process and ship your order, run your account, and meet our record-keeping obligations.

When you browse the site, our servers and analytics tools record technical information automatically. That includes your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you view, the site or search that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to keep the site secure and working properly and to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you.

We use cookies for a small number of specific jobs. Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember what is in your cart, carry you through checkout and record that you have passed the age gate; the site does not work without them. Performance cookies, set by Google Analytics, tell us in aggregate which pages are visited and how the site performs. We do not run third-party advertising or retargeting pixels on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will prevent you from ordering.

We use Google Analytics (property G-8P21D76BKM) to measure site traffic and performance. Google processes this data on our behalf and may set its own cookies; its handling of that data is governed by Google’s privacy policy. If you would rather not be measured, you can install Google’s official browser opt-out add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser. Opting out has no effect on your ability to browse or order.

We use your information to take and fulfil your order, produce a shipping label and send you tracking, answer your questions, run your account, membership, reward points and affiliate participation, apply the discounts you are entitled to, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, keep proper tax and business records, and comply with the law. We send order and service emails because you have placed an order with us. We send marketing email only where you have asked us to.

We do not receive, process or store full payment card numbers. Card payments, where offered, are handled by our payment provider over an encrypted, tokenised connection, and we see only the result of the transaction and the last digits of the card. Cryptocurrency payments are processed through our own self-hosted BTCPay Server node at pay.codexresearch.shop; for those orders we record the payment amount, the invoice and the on-chain confirmation, and funds settle to a hardware wallet we control. We never ask for your wallet seed phrase, private keys or banking passwords, and no member of our team will ever request them.

This site is for people aged 21 or over. When you confirm your age at the gate, that confirmation is stored in your browser so you are not asked again. For some orders we may ask for proof of age or of institutional affiliation before we release the shipment. Any document you send us for that purpose is used only to verify the order and is deleted once the check is complete.

We share personal information only with the parties who help us run the business, and only with what they need. Those are: our shipping carriers and label provider, in order to deliver your parcel; our payment provider, in order to take payment; our email provider, in order to send order and support mail; our hosting and content-delivery provider, in order to serve the site; Google, for analytics; and our accountants and legal advisers where required. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a successor if the business is sold. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We keep order, payment and tax records for as long as tax and business law requires us to, which is generally seven years. Account information is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful for resolving your enquiry and for our records. Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting on our Google Analytics property. When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, it is deleted or anonymised.

The whole site is served over TLS, administrative access is limited to accounts that need it and protected by strong credentials, and no card numbers are held on our servers. Our cryptocurrency node is self-hosted and pays out to a hardware wallet, so private keys are never held online. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by New Jersey law.

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to send it to you in a portable format. You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any marketing message. Residents of California and of other states with comparable privacy laws also have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any of these rights, email info@codexresearch.shop from the address on your account and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will never treat you differently for exercising them.

Browsers send Do Not Track signals inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for responding to them, so we do not act on them. We do honour Global Privacy Control signals where they apply. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, the practical effect of either signal on this site is the same: none of your data goes to advertisers regardless.

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, email info@codexresearch.shop and we will delete it.

Codex Research operates from New Jersey and ships within the United States only. Your information is stored and processed in the United States by us and by the service providers listed above. If you are visiting from outside the United States, be aware that United States privacy law may differ from the law of your own country.

This site links to material we do not control, including third-party certificates of analysis and carrier tracking pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. A link from us is not an endorsement of how they handle your data.

We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The version posted on this page is the version that applies, and any change takes effect as soon as it is posted here. Where a change is significant we will say so on the site. Please check this page from time to time.
